Robert-Jan van der Linden
Robert-Jan van der Linden is a landscape architect and planting design specialist. Before joining IDEFIX, he spent more than eight years at Felixx Landscape Architects & Planners and one year at the Municipality of Rotterdam. With both a practical background and an academic education, he is able to develop and implement strong design concepts across a variety of scales. His expertise lies in integrating planting design with broader spatial strategies, ensuring that ecological, functional, and aesthetic qualities reinforce each other.
Among the projects Robert-Jan has contributed to are the Rijnvliet Edible Neighborhood in Utrecht, a pioneering district where the public space is designed as an edible landscape that fosters biodiversity, community involvement, and food production, and Europaea Arboretum (Europaweg Haarlem), the transformation of an urban axis into a vibrant, climate-adaptive, and biodiverse green city street where urban renewal is combined with green infrastructure and landscape-driven design. These projects reflect his ability to connect innovative planting concepts with resilient urban planning.
